For decades, Nintendo has been different.
While others chased graphics, power, and realism, Nintendo focused on something harder to define, magic. The kind you felt exploring Hyrule for the first time, or jumping through colorful worlds that didn’t need to look real to feel unforgettable.
But lately, something feels… different.
The Shift That Changed Everything
When Breath of the Wild launched, it wasn’t just a new Zelda game, it was a complete reset.
Open-world freedom. Minimal hand-holding. Systems-driven gameplay.
Then came Tears of the Kingdom, which doubled down on that philosophy.
There’s no denying these games are incredible. But they also represent a clear shift away from what Zelda and Nintendo as a whole used to be.
And that raises a real question:
👉 Is Nintendo evolving… or slowly losing what made it special?
